Overnight Oatmeal with a spices twist

What a treat! You can make it a night before and enjoy the full meal the morning after.

It takes 10 minutes to prepare and you get breakfast that is ready for you the next day.

The secret is that even the kiddos love it!

1/2 cup liquid such as almond milk, cashew milk, or coconut milk

1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats 1/2 cup water/soy yogurt/ almond yogurt.

1 date chopped 1 teaspoon chia seeds 1 teaspoon syrup maple

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon Shukey spices: pumpkin pie. Optional but highly recommended.

Serving suggestions: fruit (fresh or dried), nuts, nut butter, seeds, protein powder, coconut, citrus zest.


1. Add the desired amounts of milk, oats, yogurt, chia seeds, date, and spices to a jar or container and stir them well. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 5 hours.

2. In the morning, add additional liquid if you'd like. Once you achieve the desired consistency, top with fruit, nuts, nut butter, seeds, protein powder, banana, coconut, or citrus zest.

The oatmeal in the jar will keep for up to 2 days refrigerator. If you don't add the banana, up to 4 days.
