Updated: May 14, 2021
The quick answer: Yes, but after thinking about it, you will agree that that is not the best choice for keeping you healthy, and you know deep in your gut, (literally!), that oily food is the cause for so many health problems, just name it!
What If I can help you do something that won't affect the taste and keep you healthy, without giving up on your favorite things to eat? Yeah, you read that right!
Here is your chance to incorporate one new thing in your diet- Baking in the oven instead of frying.
Let's start from the basics: transforming a universally fast food item, into a delicious, healthy, easy thing you can make at home: fried chicken edition!
Healthy crispy breaded chicken breast- (in my language it is called “Schnitzel” )
Ingredients:
2 pound chicken breast-cut thin.
1-2 eggs
2-3 Tsp Shukey "Oriental Schnitzel" Blended spices
1 cup oat flour
1 cup chickpea flour.
Avocado oil cooking spray.
In a bowl add the egg, Shukey "Oriental Schnitzel" and stir well.
In another flat plate, combine the flours.
Preheat your oven for 365F
Dip the chicken breast into the egg mix and then cover it with the flour.
Lay it on a pan covered in parchment paper.
Repeat for all of the chicken pieces. Make sure you cover them with flour on both sides of the meat.
Spray with the avocado oil on one side and bake the meat in the oven for 20 min on 365F.
Take the pan out of the oven, flip to the other side, spray again, and bake it until both sides are crispy (About another 20 minutes).
The spices and flour make it crispy and the air fills up with aromatic smells, making a delicious dish for lunch or dinner! Enjoy!
